High in the misty hills of Aceh Province, Indonesia, where volcanic soil meets cool mountain air, a new chapter in coffee is about to be brewed.
The Putra Tani Berkarya Producers Cooperative (KPPTB), founded in 2021, brings together 775 small-holder farmers across Bener Meriah and Central Aceh.
In 2022, KPPTB earned its Organic certification, followed by Fairtrade Organic status in 2024, These milestones have translated into better financial security, more sustainable farming practices, and support for the growth of local communities, Now, for the first time, their coffee is ready to journey beyond the highlands. This is more than coffee.
It's a story of resilience, sustainability, and shared purpose.
