El Yalcon is a Colombian speciality coffee produced by small scale growers in the municipality of La Plata. The name El Yalcon comes from the indigenous people that used to live where La Plata is today. Ozone have signed a two-year purchasing contract with these farmers to help provide greater certainty for producers and develop a more sustainable supply relationship. Ozone have been buying from this region of Colombia for 3.5 years, directly impacting the lives of 36 small and medium sized coffee producer and their families in that time.
