The key to brewing great coffee is allowing adequate time. French press coffee is ideally served once it has been left to sit for four minutes.
After pouring in the hot water, stir the coffee grounds and flip over this classic sand timer. The sand will run out at exactly the four minute mark, which signals that your coffee is ready for pressing!
Not very accurate with its 4 minute timing, depends on which way you have it standing up, goes more than 4 minutes one way and less than 4 minutes the way up, can be half a minute or more out both ways standing up. Very disappointed with it.
