So, this is a massive step up from the ceramic grinder I've been using for the last few years. its made of steel off course, so the grinding experience is relatively quick and easier on the wrists and the ground coffee itself is more even. Nice and compact for those who dont got a lot of space . No idea how good it is for espresso, but it works delightfully with my Moka Pot, and considering the price, I give this little guy my heartiest recommendation to beginners like me, with a few words of caution for ones consideration-
First, there is a sleeve on the body of the grinder made of silicone for gripping on. On dark roasts, it works fine, on lighter (harder to grind) roasts, the resistance posed causes the sleeve to slowly slide up as you grind. Not the end of the world, but it does force me to grip the knurled section which is not ideal.
Second, there are no disassembly instructions for those who arent at the upper echelons of coffee nerdery; when you need to clean this, it seems you twist the grind adjuster counter clockwise until it comes off, then you can pull everything apart, putting it back together again is a bit of a pain though, you'll want gloves to grip the smooth parts.
Other then those, nice, acceptably decent and compact grinder,
