This coffee comes from the Shantawene washing station located in the Bensa district of the Sidama region. Sidama is well known for producing higher yields of specialty grade coffee than other coffee producing regions in Ethiopia. With an annual rainfall of over 100 inches, fertile soil and high elevation, Sidama coffees typically take longer to ripen leading to more complex flavours.
We have roasted this lot for filter brewing. In the cup enjoy notes of stonefruit and berries.
