Making Cold Brew Coffee with Aeropress

For all of us coffee fans, we are well aware of the latest trend - Cold Brew! Perfect for those hot New Zealand summer days when you feel like a refreshing beverage to cool you down. Cold brew produces a smooth, rich flavoured coffee, however it is traditionally a lengthy process which can take up to 24 hours. 

When AeroPress inventor Alan Adler first got the idea to try making cold brew with the AeroPress, he expected that a long steep time would be essential to the process. However, he was astonished to discover that by using the AeroPress, you can actually cut your cold brewing time down to about two minutes with full flavoured results. Check out the recipe below and change up the way you cold brew for the better with Aeropress! 

 Recipe:
  • Add 1 rounded scoop of fine drip grind coffee
  • Add tap water up to the (1)
  • Stir for 1 minute (This is important.)
  • Press gently
  • Add tap or ice water to make an 8 oz. (237 ml) mug of cold brew, or cold milk for a delicious cold brew latte
